Invited Panelist, Session on Graduate Teaching Assistant Training, Cornell Board of Trustees Academic Affairs Committee, November 2018
I was invited by the Dean of the Graduate School to serve as a panelist in a discussion regarding graduate teaching assistant training at Cornell. I discussed my experiences in the First-Year Writing Seminar instructor development program as well as other teacher-training experiences I've been involved in, and made suggestions for future improvements.

Invited Workshop Facilitator, Inclusive Teaching Institute for Graduate Students and Postdocs, Cornell University,  April 2018
I was invited to serve as a workshop facilitator at this two-day training program which supports early career academics and professionals in incorporating inclusive teaching practices into their classrooms. My session focused specifically on using principles of Universal Design for Learning to construct a syllabus.

Panelist, Discussion on Student-Facing Support Structures with the Cornell Board of Trustees Executive Board, March 2018
I participated in a conversation with the Executive Board on the role of teaching assistants in supporting and mentoring students as they navigate campus, national, and global societal climate issues.


Reviewer, Spencer Portfolio Prize Committee, Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines, Cornell University, ​Spring 2018
I was asked to serve as a reviewer for the Spencer Prize which is awarded in recognition of productive collaboration between an instructor and a student in a First-Year Writing Seminar.

Conference Organizer, Cornell University-Wide Conference, 2016, 2017
In 2016 and 2017, I assisted in planning and organizing the annual teaching conference at Cornell, facilitated workshops, and served on a panel of graduate teaching assistants and instructors. 

Co-President, Cornell Sociology Graduate Student Association, 2016–2017
As the elected co-president of the Sociology Graduate Student Association, I served as a liaison between graduate students and the Department Chair and Director of Graduate Studies. During this year, I supervised numerous professional and social events for Sociology graduate students, in particular helping to organize the annual Research Symposium and the Prospective Student Visit Day.

Guest Speaker Host, Cornell Population Center Seminar Series, 2016–2017
As a Graduate Student Affiliate of the Cornell Population Center, I have served as a host for various distinguished guest speakers for the CPC Seminar Series. These visitors have included Dr. Francesco Billari, Dr. Pilar Goñalons-Pons, Dr. Christine Schwartz, and Marianne Tønnessen.

​Graduate Student Mentor, Cornell Sociology Graduate Student Association, 2015–2016
In this role I served as a mentor to a new Sociology graduate student, providing guidance and advice on how to succeed in the program.

Professionalization Event Coordinator, Cornell Sociology Graduate Student Association, 2015–2016
As an event coordinator, I recruited speakers, publicized, and facilitated the SGSA Seminar Series.
